A fellow animal lover was alerted to a young pup who was at risk of euthanasia by his breeder because of his physical deformities. Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue was contacted and offered to help right away. CBBR reached out and we teamed up to help Twist get the best care possible. His little front legs have congenital deformities and he has breathing concerns, but that doesn't stop him from playing with the big dogs. He's hanging with foster brother extraordinaire (and our spokesdog) @gimmesomejosh who is showing him the ropes. In his foster home, he has the nickname “PokyMan” as he resembles the pup from A Little Golden Book Classic the Poky Little Puppy.

Twist already has a bunch of fans online and at the vet office. This little nugget is so full of life and gets around pretty well. We can't wait to see how he flourishes with the proper care from specialists.

Twist's care will be extensive but CBBR and Wild Hearts are ready to give him everything we can.

May 13, 2021 Update: We paid the low end estimate of $4607.44 for his Brachycephalic Airway Surgery on May 11, 2021. He was supposed to come home on May 12th, but was having issues breathing and needed to be in an oxygen cage. The surgeon is being hopeful that he will be discharged this evening likely adding another $1,000+ to his bill.
