Day 1
200 Burpees, 3 minute side planks + 5 caterpillar pushups
Today was amazing and I am exhausted. 200 burpees, 3 minute side planks and 5 walking pushups in addition to a killer ILoveKickboxing class. I am stoked that so many people have supported this journey so far. I am done with Day 1 and according to my heart rate monitor burned 1,123 calories while in workout mode. So thank you Bryan, Deborah, Kerry, Lilo, Edelweiss, Valerie, and Michael for helping me out today, for supporting a cause so near and dear to my heart ❤️and helping me get #jackedlikejosh 🥊
Highlights/things I learned:
1. Dogs make everything better, especially "exercise" videos.
2. Burpees are not my friend. I have decided that quality is better than quantity so may limit the number I do everyday depending on what is donated and focus on form and technique.
3. I actually really enjoy caterpillar pushups and pushups in general but my wrists are not happy to comply, however, the modified fist position works fairly well.
4. Arms in side plank position make for great small dog tunnels.
5. I am humbled to have so many amazing people in my life that have supported me in all my endeavors: animals, work, exercise and life. So thank you. I am forever grateful for your support.
Day 2: Right now is looking good! Thanks to Katie Ross-Akin, Steffy Estella, Jenny Bee, Dan JZ, and Matt Snow I'll be doing:
50 burpees, 1 minute side plank, 100 bicep curls and at Steffy's request at least 10 minutes of stretching in addition to my normal ILKB workout. Stay tuned for more videos!
