Day 5
Bicep Curls, Mountain Climbers, Caterpillar pushups, plank, jump squats and 2 minute situp challenge
Day 5 Recap: My gluteals are feeling it today and was not looking forward to more jump squats or all the kicks and squats in class today but got through it. Decided that going forward I am going to hold off on pushups to give my wrist some time to heal up.
Giving myself a much needed day off of working out tomorrow and will be focused instead on finishing up two grants I’ve been writing for Bialy's Wellness Foundation that are due in the next few days. So any donations that come in for #jackedlikejosh exercises will wait until Tuesday.
Highlights/things I learned:
1. Gluteals are so sore today. But got thru my ILoveKickboxing workout and more jump squats. #giveshoes
2. As Lauren Ilkb Bucktown reminded me: listening to my body and taking breaks is important. Tomorrow is my day off.
3. Working out is only part of a healthy lifestyle. Don’t forget about your nutrition! Today made one of my favorite meals scallops, couscous and broccoli with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Yum!
4. Snuggling with Josh the Pitbull - gimmesomejosh is awesome.
Also, since I won’t be doing pushups, would love any suggestions on tricep focused exercises that will not aggravate my wrists (extreme flexion and extension are really what trigger it). Thanks so much! Stay safe and healthy all and I’ll be back on Tuesday #jackedlikejosh
